What Is E-Lift in Burnaby?
E-Lift is a needle-free plan that combines two BTL devices: Emface, which uses radiofrequency and HIFES™ to work on facial muscle tone, and EXION Face, which uses radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to work on skin quality. At Skin Art MD in Burnaby (Metrotown), a physician assessment sets the areas and number of sessions.
Ageing involves loss of muscle tone, structural support and skin quality, and many treatments address only one of these. E-Lift treats the face in two layers: Emface for the muscles beneath, and EXION Face for the skin surface and dermis.
Muscle layer (Emface)
HIFES™ stimulation prompts facial muscles to contract, working on tone and definition.
Skin layer (EXION Face)
Radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound prompt the skin to make more of its own hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin.
Planned together
Both parts are sequenced in one plan to suit your face.

How Does E-Lift Work?
Two technologies, each aimed at a different layer.
Emface: muscle and skin
Synchronized radiofrequency and HIFES™ stimulation work on facial muscle tone and the dermis.
EXION Face: skin quality
Monopolar radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound, with AI temperature control, prompt fibroblasts to produce hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin.
Manufacturer-reported data
BTL reports a clinical study of EXION Face in which skin measured after four treatments showed +224% hyaluronic acid, +47% collagen and +50% elastin. Results vary from person to person.
Physician-planned sequence
The physician plans areas and order of treatment around your face and goals.

E-Lift Burnaby: Common Questions
How much does E-Lift cost in Burnaby?+
Cost depends on the areas treated and the number of Emface and EXION Face sessions in your plan. We do not publish prices online. The physician assessment confirms which parts of E-Lift suit you, how many sessions make sense, and what the plan costs, before you decide whether to go ahead.
Where can I get E-Lift near Burnaby or Vancouver?+
Skin Art MD is at #101 – 4378 Beresford St, Burnaby (Metrotown), near Metrotown SkyTrain Station on the Expo Line, a short trip from Vancouver and New Westminster. Hours are Tuesday to Sunday 10:00–18:00, closed Monday. Phone +1 (604) 639-2581. Consultations are available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Is E-Lift different from having Emface or EXION Face separately?+
Emface works on muscle tone and EXION Face works on skin quality, so they act on different layers. E-Lift puts both in one plan, with the order and spacing set together rather than as two separate courses. A physician assessment decides whether one or both suit you.
Is E-Lift painful?+
Most people describe a warm, tingling sensation with gentle muscle contractions during the Emface part, and warmth during the EXION Face part. Settings can be adjusted for comfort at any point, so tell your clinician if the heat or contractions feel too strong. Numbing is not normally needed, and no needles are used.
How many E-Lift sessions do I need?+
Emface courses are usually 4 to 6 sessions depending on response, and EXION Face is typically 4 sessions 1 to 2 weeks apart. The physician confirms the schedule at assessment and may suggest maintenance sessions later, often reviewed a few months to a year after the series. Individual results vary.
Is there downtime?+
Most people resume normal activities the same day. Temporary flushing is possible, and the cheek muscles can feel slightly tired, much like after exercise. Skip intense heat and strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and facials or chemical peels for about a week unless the physician advises otherwise.
Can E-Lift be combined with injectables?+
Often yes. The physician plans the order of treatments around any injectables you have had or are considering, because recently injected areas may need time to settle before muscle stimulation. Tell us what you have had, where and when, so the E-Lift sessions can be scheduled around it.
What are the side effects of E-Lift?+
Temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling or tenderness can occur and usually settles within hours, and facial muscles may feel briefly tired, much like after exercise. Less commonly, heat-related skin irritation is possible. Your physician goes over the risks before treatment and adjusts settings to your feedback during it.
How long does an Emface session take?+
About 30 minutes for one or two areas, and roughly twice as long for more areas. The EXION Face part adds time depending on how many areas are treated, and your first visit also includes the physician assessment. The clinic confirms your expected appointment length when you book.
Who should not have E-Lift?+
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a pacemaker or metal implants in the area, have epilepsy, or have an active skin infection should speak to the physician first. Recent facial surgery or filler in the area also needs review. The physician assessment decides whether E-Lift, another option, or waiting suits you.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?+
Changes are gradual and usually build over the series and the roughly 3 months after it. Muscle tone and skin quality then fade slowly with age, so maintenance is often discussed a few months to a year after the series. How long results last varies with age, skin and lifestyle, and no fixed duration can be promised.
