How Does a Dual-Action Filler Work?
CaHA and HA together: immediate lift, then collagen support.
HArmonyCa® uses DART™ (Dual Action Rejuvenating Technology). HA diffuses through the lower dermis for an immediate, natural lift; CaHA forms a scaffold deep in the dermis that activates fibroblasts and, as the carrier gel degrades, supports a denser collagen network. How is it different from a regular HA filler?+
An HA filler mainly adds volume and contour. This is a hybrid product combining hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA): the HA gives an immediate lift, and the CaHA stimulates your own collagen over the following months, so part of the effect builds gradually.
How long do results last?+
Clinics commonly report results lasting about 12-18 months, and the manufacturer describes results seen for up to 18 months. The HA lift is immediate, and the collagen effect builds over the following weeks to months. Duration varies with age, skin quality and the areas treated; your physician advises on review timing.
Does the injection hurt?+
The product contains a numbing ingredient (lidocaine), and topical numbing cream and ice can be added, so most people feel pressure and brief stinging rather than sharp pain. Tenderness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites can last a day or two.
What is the downtime?+
Most people resume normal activities the same day. Site reactions usually settle within 24-48 hours and swelling within about a week; avoid strenuous activity and sun for 24 hours, and makeup for 12 hours.
Can it be combined with an HA filler?+
Yes. For larger volume loss or reduced firmness, an HA filler may be placed beforehand, then this product. Safety with other filling implants has not been evaluated, so follow your physician's plan.
What are the common side effects?+
Redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching are common, usually mild and settling within 24-48 hours. If nodules appear, massage the area; injected material may be palpable for a period.
